White English, Brindle Bulldog and Big Red Bulldog Database
Our database has been years in the making and is only achieved with the cooperation and complete trust of those maintaining the old farm bulldogs of the rural south. These people are not breeders and do not wish to be considered as such; rather they humbly describe themselves as simple country folk with no motives other than to keep these dogs around for their children and grandchildren; the same goals of the OWEPS. These people are not trying to profit from the breeding of and or sale of these rapidly disappearing dogs, though, they certainly could considering that quite a few modern breeders have done just that ... exploit the people, the dogs and the long-standing family traditions by making all of it about how they can profit from it. It is for this very reason that our extensive and untapped database must remain private and closed to the general public. Unfortunately, monetary exchange and or OWEPS membership does not guarantee you access, as a deep trust must be established and withstand the test of time before you are entrusted with limited access. This must be done this way, as those in the database have entrusted us with their names, photos, contact information and histories. Many have guarded their legacies for generations and we will ensure that their trust is never broken by selling them out.
The recent rise in popularity of the White English as a marketing tool for breeders is a very real threat to the future of the breed and their conservators. We owe it to the breed and their owners to guard them ferociously!
